Born in the heart of Senegal, a story of craftsmanship and luxury
AfrikanLuxury was born from a deep conviction: Africa possesses exceptional artisanal expertise that deserves to be brought to the international luxury stage. It all started in Dakar, in a small workshop in the Médina neighbourhood.
Our founders, fascinated by the richness of traditional Senegalese techniques — vegetable tanning, bogolan work, leather braiding — decided to create a brand that celebrates this heritage while meeting the demands of contemporary luxury.
We select the finest leathers from West Africa: full-grain cowhide, lambskin, goatskin. Each hide is inspected and naturally tanned in our workshops.
This ancestral art of dyeing with fermented mud is at the heart of our identity. Our artisans master traditional motifs and reinterpret them for our time.
Each bag is entirely handcrafted. From cutting to sewing, through assembly, our artisans dedicate several days to each piece.
Details make the difference: gold hardware, hand-woven cotton lining, brand engraving. Every finishing reflects our quality standards.
